Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 March 2026
1. What Experiously is
Experiously is a community platform where people share structured accounts of their real experiences so others can learn from them. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Experiously. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, let us know immediately. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Content you submit
When you submit an Experience, you retain ownership of your content. By publishing it on Experiously, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote your content on the platform. You can control whether each Experience is open to conversations. You can delete your account and all associated content from your Profile settings page at any time.
You agree that your submissions are truthful accounts of real experiences. You will not submit content that is fabricated, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or that violates any law. All submissions are subject to review and may be rejected or removed.
5. Credits and connections
You earn 1 credit when an Experience you submit is approved. You can also earn credits through referrals when someone you share with signs up and contributes. You spend 1 credit to start a private conversation with another contributor. Credits have no monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or refunded. We may adjust credit balances at our discretion to maintain platform integrity.
You may purchase a one-time starter pack of 5 credits for £5, processed by Stripe. Credits are delivered immediately upon purchase. By completing the purchase, you agree to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you waive the 14-day cancellation right. The starter pack can only be purchased once per account. We do not store your payment details. If you experience a payment issue, contact us at hello@experiously.com.
6. Messaging
Private conversations on Experiously are for genuine, respectful exchange. You agree not to use messaging for spam, harassment, solicitation, or any purpose unrelated to learning from shared experiences. We may review messages if reported for abuse.
7. Exchanges
Exchanges are themed group discussions where members explore a shared topic together. You may be invited to an Exchange based on your contributions, or you can join one that is open. The same conduct rules as private messaging apply: be respectful, stay on topic, and do not use Exchanges for spam, solicitation, or harassment.
8. Prohibited conduct
- Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity
- Submitting spam, advertising, or self-promotional content
- Attempting to manipulate the review or credit system
- Scraping, crawling, or automated access to the platform
- Circumventing security measures or access restrictions
- Using the platform for any illegal purpose
9. Moderation
All Experiences go through a review process. We may reject, remove, or edit content that doesn't meet our guidelines. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or a permanent ban. We aim to be fair but reserve the right to make final decisions about what appears on the platform.
10. Disclaimers
Experiences shared on Experiously reflect individual perspectives and are not professional advice. We don't verify the accuracy of submissions beyond our moderation process. You use information from the platform at your own risk. Experiously is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Experiously and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including any actions taken based on content shared by other users.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Experiously will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
